Employee Assistance Program Consortium

WCMC offers to its member municipalities a unique Employee Assistance Program (EAP), which provides a full range of services to full- and part-time employees in local government. Currently, these WCMC members participate the program, including Bellwood, Berkeley, Brookfield, Brookfield Zoo, Countryside, Elmwood Park, Forest Park, Forest View, Franklin Park, Indian Head Park, La Grange, La Grange Park, Leyden Township, Lyons, Melrose Park, North Riverside, Northlake, Norridge, River Forest, River Grove, Riverside, Schiller Park, Westchester, Western Springs and the WCMC. The following non-members are also participants in our EAP consortium: Intergovernmental Risk Management Agency (IRMA), Village of Willowbrook, Northwest Suburban Municipal Joint Action Water Agency (NSMJAWA), Village of Bedford Park, Northeastern Illinois Public Safety Traning Academy (NIPSTA), Southwest Central Dispatch, Stickney/Forst View Library, Village of Sugar Grove, Union Ridge School District 86, Forest Park School District 91, River Grove School District 85.5, Ridgewood High School and La Grange Highlands School District 106 for a total of 4,400covered lives in the WCMC EAP Consortium.

Through the EAP, employees and their families are eligible to receive no-cost counseling, training and treatment for personal matters that affect their professional performance.

Our current service Provider, Perspectives, Ltd., is an expert in dealing with issues related to employee productivity, as well as emergency incidents and trauma situations. The goal of the EAP is to create a workplace environment that functions efficiently on behalf of residents and workers alike.
